Duty Squadron: Torpedo Squadron Fifty-One 

 

They were the branch who went in with the bombing planes to take out any other enemy production and defenses before the fighter pilots came in after. One of the main objectives were to take out enemy ships that were heavily armed to create a buffer from getting one the island.

 

 His Squadron the was made up of himself, Pilot Lt. Roland Houle and Co-Pilot Otis Ingram went out on a mission on June 6th, 1944 that would change the world more than they knew it. But there war sadly came to a abrupt ending.  The Malakal Island also known mainly as the Palau Islands were the place where his plane was supposedly shot down by enemy anti-air and crashed on the side of the Malakal Island.
